"A brilliant student, a devoted son, and a hero whose legacy saved five lives"
A timeline of his life and legacy
Jawad Khan was born into the respected family of Noor Dad Khan in Rustam, Mardan. From a young age, he showed exceptional intelligence and kindness.
Began his education at Government Primary School Haji Abad, Rustam. His teachers immediately recognized his exceptional abilities and dedication to learning.
At just 9 years old, Jawad completed the Holy Quran, demonstrating both his intellectual capability and spiritual devotion.
Transferred to The Mars School on his headmaster's recommendation. Secured 3rd position in Class 7 and 2nd in Class 8, aiming for top position in higher classes.
Alongside regular studies, he avidly studied Islamic history, beginning with the first volume of Islamic history books. He was known for saying, "I will secure first position in Classes 9 and 10."
While walking to school, a speeding Hiace Datsun hit Jawad. He was rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar for emergency brain surgery.
After 5 days on ventilator support, doctors declared brain death. The medical team at HMC had fought tirelessly to save him.
Uncle Farhad Khan suggested organ donation. Father Noor Dad Khan responded: "I do not want these eyes to turn to dust." Grandfather Khandad Khan gave permission, calling it "a matter of honor."
In a 13-hour operation involving teams from Islamabad and Lahore, Jawad's organs were successfully recovered, making him KP's first multi-organ donor.
• 1 kidney transplanted in Dera
• 1 kidney transplanted in Pindi
• 1 cornea transplanted in Peshawar
• 1 cornea transplanted in Bannu
• Liver transplanted to a woman in Lahore
All recipients are now in good health.
A family's courage in their darkest hour
"Why don't we save the lives of patients who have lost hope with his organs?" - Farhad Khan (Uncle)
"I do not want these eyes to turn to dust" - Noor Dad Khan (Father)
"This is a matter of honor for me" - Khandad Khan (Grandfather)
In their moment of unimaginable grief, the Khan family made a decision that would transform tragedy into hope. Their choice to donate Jawad's organs wasn't just about medicine—it was about continuing his legacy of kindness and intelligence.
